Professional Background: I currently serve as Theater J’s Production Coordinator, managing the Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater venue for each and every production that takes place. This also involves managing Theater J’s various inventories — lighting instruments, the sound system, projection equipment, wardrobe pieces, and the props & furniture storage facilities. Often wearing multiple hats, I am often assigned various production roles throughout each season — my specialties are Sound Design and Props Design. I’ve also found ways to incorporate my video and graphic creative skills, most recently in the launch of Theater J’s “30 Years: Strength to Strength Campaign”.
Academic Background: I am a graduate of the George Washington University where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre (specializing in Production) and French Language, Literature, and Culture as a Presidential Scholar of the Arts in Theatre Design & Production. In my time at university, I have completed several internships: one with the Berkshire Theatre Group as a general technical intern, another with the Smithsonian Institution’s Folklife Festival as a technical intern, and another with the Washington Stage Guild as their company management and box office intern. Before my time at university, I studied at Eagan High School in Minnesota. This is where I produced for Eagan AM (a weekly newscast broadcast live to over 2,000 students), a production that won several crystal pillar awards for pieces in which I was heavily involved. I also made myself integral in Eagan High School’s theatre program, stage managing for two years and operating both the audio and lighting board for four years. I have also garnered experience in retail, where I worked as Inventory Specialist at the Mall of America location of P.S. from Aéropostale; as well as hospitality, through my work as both Head Host and Server at the Georgetown location of Morton’s the Steakhouse.
